SCHOOL FACTS
We will be staying at Valley
Catholic High
School
in Beaverton,
Oregon. The school is within the
campus of Valley
Catholic
School (preschool through 12th
grade) and the Mother House of the Sisters of St. Mary of
Oregon. Students will be sleeping
in classrooms but due to our safe environment policy, adult
chaperones will need to sleep in the hallway outside the
classroom.
BRING AN EYE MASK!! There are plenty of showers available
in our facilities. They are all individual showers. We
will have separate shower areas for adults and youth. The
school has a courtyard with picnic tables which is perfect
for hanging out in the afternoons. The program area is in
the auditorium, which is air conditioned. We
have a beautiful grotto in the shade of the trees where the
Rosary can be recited in the evenings.
WORKSITE INFORMATION
We will be working with a variety of agencies for our work projects.
These projects include: yard work at Our Lady of Peace Retreat House,
Fixing up the community center at one of the migrant camps, homeless
lunch (food prep and serving), vacation Bible school, yard work, and
painting. Groups will be sent to the Beaverton,
Portland, and
Hillsboro
area for their work projects.

Portland Beavers Minor League Baseball
In
2001, it was announced that the Pacific Coast League would
return to Portland in 2001 and the team would again be
called the Beavers. The ballpark,
PGE Park, drew rave reviews
for bringing back an old-time baseball atmosphere. The
stadium has 32 luxury suites, a
gargantuan hand-operated scoreboard in left-center field,
and a number of seismic and cosmetic upgrades
